Re: Pee Jay 250 parts guide and layout for assembly
Thanks for your detailed answers, which will be duly followed when building this plane.
My question related to the hatch was about the need to build both, or one is enough. I think the top hatch provides sufficient access to the internal components, and the 2nd hatch, added instead of a solid ...

Re: Pee Jay 250 parts guide and layout for assembly
Thank you for your fast reply.
A few more questions if I may:
1. which of the 4 airfoil options would you recommend for a fast, well maneauverable plane?
2. Does ít make sense to build the bottom hatch instead of fixed sheeting, if the top hatch gives access to servos, battery and external fuel ...

Re: Pee Jay 250 parts guide and layout for assembly
Hi, is it absolutely necessary to have the rudder connected to a servo, or, the ailerons and elevator are sufficient? I never use rudder on my small RC planes if ailerons are also installed. I would rather use the 3rd servo for the exhaust throttle barrel of my COX TeeDee 020 engine.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Shoestring out of stock
Hello Doug, I see the Shoestring micro racer is currently out of stock.
Do you plan to replenish your stock? If yes, when?
As you know I built one and fly with a COX 010 TeeDee in its nose, and would like to build another one.
Thank you, András from Budapest, Hungary..

Shoestring Micro Racer maiden flight
I had to wait till the weather permitted the maiden flight of my Shoestring powered by a COX TeeDee010 engine. Trimming was hard until I noticed a small warpage in the left wing, caused by uneven heat while covering the wing top and bottom with heat shrink film.
I corrected the warpage, and the ...

Location of hatch
Hello Doug, just received my kit in Hungary with thanks, and will start the build soon. Can you please post a photo on the location of the hatch door? I suppose this is between the formers between which the wings are located?

Re: Shoestring reference photos
Hi,
this is András Balogh aka balogh (as per my name of registration here) from Budapest, Hungary, an avid COX engine lover...just bought a Shoestring racer for my COX TeeDee010 powerplants, and wonder if you could share photos on how the ailerons are best connected to the servo inside the fuselage ...
