Shoestring Micro Racer maiden flight

I had to wait till the weather permitted the maiden flight of my Shoestring powered by a COX TeeDee010 engine. Trimming was hard until I noticed a small warpage in the left wing, caused by uneven heat while covering the wing top and bottom with heat shrink film.
I corrected the warpage, and the Shoestring is now a ball to fly.
Conclusion: the balsa spar and leading edge are strong but can still be warped during covering, so one must check the wing for warpage prior the first flight.
