Parts ID - rectangle pieces?

Post by Darksabre »

Hey all - what is the purpose of this sheet of parts? Just spare wood?

Thanks!

Those are shear webs for the wing. They go on the forward side of the main spars.

Hah thanks again for answering my dumb questions. This is my first balsa plane. Probably a bad idea to pick a plane with no instructions for my first balsa build. Who doesn't like a challenge though, right??

It's simply a 30 piece jigsaw puzzle that ends up in the shape of an airplane! :-)

No question too dumb, we are happy to answer. Please post any questions you may have!

Sincerely,

Hah that's true. I can't wait to get better at it and build more of your planes.

One more question today. Is there supposed to be a piece that goes here to fill the gap near the trailing edge?

^I ended up using some spare wood and added in the missing pieces. Not sure if the CAD file needs to be adjusted, or if I goofed up there.
