Great videos! Anyone built one of these with electric power? If so, what components did you use?

I have not personally built one, however I'm pretty confident that you could fly it with an 1806 Brushless motor and a 3S 500Mha battery pack. What I don't know is how you get the ESC (electronic Speed Controller) to work on a control line model. However, I just did some research and you need an "Electric Control Line Timer" for control line electrics as it takes the place of your receiver to control the motor.

Hope that helps.

Hi David - thanks for the reply. That makes sense. I guess the alternative is to buy one of the receivers from Willie Nillies and just use a Spectrum transmitter to control the speed.
